Veterinary Technicians

April Smith is a part-time Veterinary Nurse and Full-Time Office Manager at Preston Road Animal Hospital. Currently working toward her veterinary technician certification, April is proud of the high-quality care offered at the hospital and she loves working with animals. April has a wonderful husband and two fabulous children. In her spare time, April enjoys playing computer games, sewing, and hanging out with her friends. Her animal companions include three cats, Mephisto, Voldemort and Arthur.

Mike Machowski -Mike is the Lead Nurse at at Preston Road Animal Hospital. As a hospital team member since 2007, Michael Machowski II is proud of the advanced medical techniques practiced at the hospital. He believes the friendly, knowledgeable veterinarians and staff make for a positive work environment. His hobbies include exercise, basketball, football, camping and playing with his dog, Oscar.

Cheryl Choolijian is a veterinary nurse at Preston Road Animal Hospital. A member of the staff since 2007, she is very interested in exotic pet medicine and enjoys working with unique pets. She is proud of the progressive medicine offered at the hospital and loves caring for pets. In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys being outdoors and especially likes hiking and camping and working in her garden. She is working toward her undergraduate degree in Biology and hopes to attend veterinary school. Cheryl's animal companions include five cats, Junior, Squeaky, Mary Frances, Mowat, and Puddle Kitty.

Chelle Wood - Veterinary assistant Chelle Wood has been part of the Preston Road team since 2008. She enjoys working with the knowledgeable veterinarians and staff at the hospital and likes learning more about animal health. When she's not at the hospital, Chelle can be found camping, fishing and sailing. Reading, singing, baking and crossword puzzles also are among her hobbies. At home, she enjoys the companionship of her cat, Gizmo.

Dawn Daniel has been a veterinary technician at Preston Road Animal Hospital since 2008. She enjoys getting to know clients and their pets and likes learning new things about veterinary medicine. A volunteer member of the Christian Veterinary Mission, Dawn shares her home with two cats, Brenda and Tanner. She enjoys playing Nintendo Wii and Frisbee golf, house and pet sitting, playing volleyball, and spending time with her daughter.

Staci Smart - Veterinary nurse Staci Smart is proud of the high standard of care offered at the hospital and loves working with the caring staff and wonderful veterinarians at Preston Road Animal Hospital. Reading, watching movies and horseback riding are among her many hobbies. She shares her home with three dogs, Zoey, Tyson and Boomer, cats Chic and Minou, and a horse named Jodi.
